Finland needs diversity

My name is Jussi Heinilä I am coming from Accelerando which is an international acceleration company and I am also acting as an angel investor, and I have about twelve investments and portfolio companies.

I have lived in four countries myself and I have always thought that diversity and international teams are the best that company could have, it´s very natural. We are coming from different sources, from different countries, different cultures, it´s important to have the local knowledge.

In most of the Finnish cases, if we want to become international companies, we always hire international talent, they bring us the local knowledge, their own networks, their language skills, their cultural knowledge. Without international talent, there is no, no way to go, and conquer the world from the stat-up point of view.

Finland needs, needs diversity, there is no question about that, if we try to create businesses, only based on Finnish talents, we miss about 99% of our markets, in all cases we need international members in our teams and in our sales people, in our marketing, whatever we do, it needs to be an international team.
